Screenshot Descriptions
1 • Your group's name (it can be anything you wish) appears at the top of your group's pages. If your group is invitation-only (it's your choice), only your group members will be allowed to access the site.
2 • Messages (and the comments beneath them) are collected in the main column, with the newest messages on top. Anyone in your group can post a new message, or add a comment under any message. If you click "Post a message", a panel slides down where you can enter your message text. No new screens, no moving backwards and forwards. Easy.
Messages are auto-emailed to everyone in your group, so they don’t even have to visit the site to stay up-to-date. Any group member can post a comment to one of these emails, and that comment will automatically be added underneath the appropriate comment.
Each group chooses a unique email address for their group. Any group member can post a new message simply by sending an email to that address. Post from your computer or an email-enabled phone.
3 • What kind of information does your group need to share? We make it easy for your members to sort messages to find just what they need. You can edit the message labels in any way that helps your group. Add as many labels as you wish. Make it yours.
4 • It's really easy to edit or delete messages. Of course, you can only edit or delete messages you authored, unless you are the group leader. Simply roll your cursor over a title, and the edit / delete buttons appear. Click edit and a panel slides out where you can make adjustments. Click delete and the message fades off the screen.
5 • Caleb's Cafe offers a growing collection of Christian content to enrich your group. From "Teachable Moment" articles that help ask faith questions relating to current events, to actual Bible studies or devotional material, Caleb’s Cafe helps your members study, learn and grow. Your group leader can choose what content (if any) appears in your group’s site.
6 • Group leaders see an extra menu called "Group Settings". Here, leaders can edit the group's name, email address, or the content settings, among other things. Group leaders can also edit or delete any messages, comments, photos or files posted by your group’s members.
7 • Each group can create "Easy Pages". Easy Pages are super-simple web pages that you can make public (a URL is provided) or keep private to your group. Post information about your group, a schedule, or a flyer about an upcoming event.
8 • Need to grab someone's phone number or IM address? Want to mail them a thank-you card? The "people" tab gives your members access to a group directory. Each individual member can choose how much or little information to share. But if your group is invitation-only, why not make it easy for your friends to reach you?
9 • Caleb's Cafe can offer a full menu of Bible study materials. Save money and time by choosing studies from our menu of options. All are discussion-based, and many use our unique "Cafe-style" of encouraging discussion. Our Bible study is more like good friends discussing ideas over pie and coffee than a cold classroom. Go ahead, pull up a chair.
